So I was saving the planet this AM by sitting in a bus that smelled less of fumes than usual and noticed this add,

Well the link was different it said manitoba.ca in the url not gov.mb.ca Anyway I’ve always said that we as a society should spend more effort on working poor than welfare bum’s the left will disagree and say working poor should pay taxes to help people whose intention to go through their entire lives and spend the entire time being a burden to others ie welfare bums.

Here, here for Mr Doer!  I don’t compliment the NDP often but if it’s deserved I will.

Manitoba’s Rewarding Work is a four-year strategy to address poverty by giving people hope and dignity through employment. Rewarding Work programs will help low-income working families and Employment and Income Assistance (EIA) recipients move from EIA to work by increasing the advantages of employment over EIA. The strategy is meant to:

  • improve employability by increasing education and training opportunities
  • encourage work by helping low-income working families with the costs of raising their children
  • make it easier to move from EIA to work by offering support to help people find employment
  • keep people in jobs by providing ongoing support that encourages them to stay employed

When you look at the nuts and bolts some seem goofy, but still a step in the right direction.  Then we need a conservative party to touch it up, course the problem with that is there is no conservative party in Manitoba.
