“Veni, Vidi, Deus Vicit:†Jan Sobieski Day, September 12On this date in 1683, Central Europe was on the edge of conquest by an Islamic supremacist army. Turkish miners had already undermined at least one bastion of Vienna’s fortress, and only a heroic response by defenders who actually extinguished an explosive charge’s fuze prevented a fatal breach in the defenses. Within days if not hours, militant and expansionist Islam would hold sway over the heart of Europe. That was when the Polish Army showed up, and King Jan Sobieski III was in command…

While we may have some concerns regarding past and potential conquests of Europe by Muslims, please note that some 60 million souls died in a largely Christian 2nd world war and many millions died in a largely Christian 1st world war. And many countless died in largely Christian religious wars dating back centuries.Need I mention the colonial rampages of Islamic territories by the Colonial European powers. We have little to be proud of vis a vis, Christian Europe and the Moslems of the east.

Uh in WWII Hitler was a Pagan, the army that marched to Thor’s hammer was not Christian. Sure he ATTACKED some who were but a Christian being attacked by a pagan does not make it a Christian war. That onus lays with he who provokes it. Was Japan Christian?
Plus at least one of the plotters to kill Ferdinand in WWI was a Muslim go figure.
We have little to be proud of? Obviously you know little of history most of the areas you probably call Muslim were once Christian.
Egypt, Syria, Turkey, tunisia, jordan,…. were all Christian countries before the islamic types let them feel Jihad. In fact over 300 years before the crusades Muslims conquered one town after another theres were not missionaries teaching people to read and giving them the bible, they came and sold into slavery. Unlike any native north Americans. When the muslims reached europe via north africa all north africa had been Christian before. When they reached vienna all the way from Jordan had been Christian.
Spare me the I should feel guilty for defending my self, like ecclesiastes 3 says theres a time to kill. Why not those who have a jihad VS christendom thats been running over a thousand years.
If you feel you have so little to be proud of feel free to jump off a bridge. The Christian areas of the world are usually the best and most humanitarian.

Hey, Hyman: it was the Christian nations that rose up to bring the evil of Nazism to an end.
And was there ever, anywhere, anytime an empire run so fairly and justly as the British. Thought not.
The Spanish inquisition killed about 3500 people over about 350 years. A morning’s work for tyrannies and communists.
Join the real world, where people from the Christian west have an enormous amount to be proud of. Whence do you derive your pride - a levelling criticism? You’re part of the problem.
