Australia will press for an international moratorium on capital punishment in the wake of the execution of the Bali bombers.Foreign Minister Stephen Smith said Sunday was a sad day for Australians.

“It’s not a day that fills us with any joy or with any celebration,” he told ABC Television.

“My first thoughts are for the families of the victims of both the Bali bombings, it’s just in my view a terrible reminder of a terrible, horrible event that occurred to family members.”

Not an attitude thats very tolerant of other cultures. why is the Aussicentric attitude the one to prevail. do most australians want them left alive to be out on good behavior and collecting welfare from the victims families when they immigrate to Melbourne.

I’m sure his thoughts are a million miles away from the families who want them hung. It’s the Christian thing to do after all, If the time isn’t after they were found guilty in a court of law for killing over 100 innocents, when is it?
