People are jumping the gun on this first there has of yet been no non confidence motion and I can see the liberal party plunging the knives into Dion’s back, will Rae who brought down Joe Clark’s government vote against his own promotion? Will the Great Russian Ignatief? I don’t know what the mood is like out east but out west people are pissed. People who didn’t care too much about the last election are telling me we don’t need another vote in January. I hear on non political radio stations that they have yet to talk to one person who thinks it’s a good idea. People here are livid I’ve heard from people to the west of here who are too, I’m supposed to be the one bringing up politics but I’m not. Which is kind of funny.

They say there is precedent in the Westminister style of parliament for this to happen. I think if the GG who’s pretty much a separatist might do more to change us to a republic than any democratic process could. However when Pearson offered to do the same thing Diefenbaker yelled at him for two hours in the commons then told the GG to call an election and they did. Will Jean do the opposite? There is some precedent for this happening but the real thing people are upset about is not whether it follows the letter of the law. It’s that if they voted Liberal or NDP they were in no way shape or form expecting their vote to be used to give separatists a veto over Canada. That is the crux of the matter sure there’s interesting angles to the debate, but to say we want to help people who want to break up the country because Harper might do a bad job of running it when he hasn’t is insane. And if Steven did such a bad job why was it Dion the NDP or Bloc who kept him as PM for 3 years?

Any way how can people be pissed at Harper for saying he thinks that we should stop giving welfare parties handouts when their own membership is so lukewarm towards their boilerplate that they can’t be bothered to give the party they vote for any money. If anything should be telling them they’ve drifted too far to the left of Mackenzie King this could be a sign. Why should I be taxed to pay the NDP? I’d much rather my money went for doctors, tanks or get this they could lower my taxes by two bucks. Yet the liberals want my two dollars and they want a lot more for their causes.

Duiceppe has nothing to lose here and everything to gain last year his party proved they can’t fund raise enough to buy a hotdog stand. Which tells you how dedicated his people are to the break up of Canada. Not at all. But why worry about that when you can grab senate seats, a billion dollars and a veto over our legislation. No matter what happens Duiceppe will be smiling and his party, that his province loves so much they can’t be bothered to pay for has no down side.

If he gets a billion dollars and as many seats in the senate reserved for separatists as either alberta or BC get he will not lose any sleep or votes.

As for the others Dion, Layton and even May this dance with the devil will be written up on their obituaries. Dion was out anyway so he’s going dropping back for the bomb and might take his party with him. I think some of them are smart enough to realize this the so called coalition will never last til the summer if it ever could get past the non confidence part of the debate. When it breaks up in the summer it will of course be because Harper is a meanie. When the coalition of evil breaks up like the planet of Aldoran, and it will these three should start getting their resume in order. Well maybe not the NDP they have no scruples, I guess Layton knows this. I haven’t heard anything out east but here in the peg things are getting hot.

When It breaks up Harper would rightfully say he doesn’t want to form a government then when a general election is called the liberals might wish they got the % of votes they did on Oct 14.

How they can be so prejudiced against the west that they think Harper will do such a bad job running the country that it’s better to have someone running things who wants to destroy Canada. I’ll guess there are not a lot of mensa members among them.

The only good thing is they are doing this right before Christmas so that when families get together we can call our family members who vote NDP or Liberal “Traitors” after we open our presents on infinite greed day December 25 and start plotting western separation which I thought was dead. Never underestimate the arrogance of an easterner, like an abusive spouse they are always willing to hit you one more time because you deserve it. I could blame their politicians but it isn’t just the politicians, it’s the people who don’t realize that when they have corrupt politicians in power it’s their duty to kick them out.

We try to be bilingual they don’t care to.

We subsidize rail to the point where it’s cheaper to roll western oats in Ontario.

We are subject to the CWB that only eastern parties support but Quebec wheat farmers are not.

Oh hell theres hundreds of things going back to the first 50 years of confederation where Manitoba was not allowed to control it’s own resources because someone out east wanted to. In spite of the constitution.
